This coming weekend (the 27th) I’ll be hosting a live webathon (telethon – on the internet!) to raise money for a little girl who lost her mother. The Juggernaughts of Podcasting are coming together to set up a college fun for this little girl, so that way her father isn’t left with the burden of doing so on his own.

This charity event will be taking place online (www.theboomeffect.org) via ustream, and we’re uncouraging everyone to come out and participate. If you can’t spare a few bucks, no problem. We’re going to provide 5 hours of entertainment with guests, as well as an auction for nearly 80 special items. See www.theboomeffect.org for a complete list.

Former cohost Will “the Disembodied Voice” has passed away. He was killed in an automobile accident last night. Ron and Janine rushed to Columbia, SC to be with his family. I will post memorial service info as soon as its available.

Problems with images

Well, since I don’t normally use IE, I didn’t know that there was a problem with the site. It’s been there all along. eesh. All 14 of you that still use Internet Explorer can now see those lovely images that I post. Usually its the album art for the episode, or a logo from our guest appearances. It’s amazing what a little line of code can do.

More episodes coming real soon. Just to fill you in on what’s going on, I’ll be moving in the next couple weeks, and I’ll be able to spend more time on the show, so we’ll have lots of cool stuff coming down the tubes to your aggregator. Ooooh yeah. Euphemism intended

Guys. I told you last month that we serviced 7275 mp3 files (episodes made by Outcast Multimedia) where delivered to aggregators worldwise in January.

Hey guys. While we’re waiting for Earl to fix the technical problems we faced while recording rotO 34, I hit up a few friends to help me with my very first viewing of Snakes on a Mofo’in Plane.

Samantha Allen (randomassembly.com) and Lee Cherolis (betteryouthanme.net/) are two badass ‘toonists that I met at Ubercon. Not only are their comics funny, but they are smartly drawn. To be honest, I’m more than a little jealous of their talent. See also biscuitpress.com

I’m never one to delay a premiere, but in this case, it seemed right to make an exception. About two months ago we were approached by Scott Sigler (of Earthcore and Ancestor fame) to do an adaptation of one of his short stories for an episode of Stranger Things.

Well, we definitely accepted, and as things got closer to the premiere, the idea was suggested that we roll up all our big premieres into one enormous one, one that would encapsulate Scott Sigler’s first entrance into the video realm.

So here’s what we decided to do: hold off the premiere to March 1st and move Discontent to the second episode in the series.

At this moment, we are 27 days and counting till the world premiere of Stranger Things!

Turns out, they did a few tweaks to it, and also released it on Voices of Tomorrow, the sister podcast to the site 365 Tomorrows, where it was first published.
