The answer is not page 62. Keep trying and remember that all comments are moderated so they will not show up immediately. You do not need to submit the answer multiple times…unless of course you’re submitted different answers! :-)

It is on 4th page under the dedication! “for the men and women of the 501st Imperial Stormtrooper Legion”

#5 TK4426 on 01.10.08 at 8:56 pm

The first mention is the Dedication page

#6 tuskentrooper on 01.11.08 at 10:40 am

Ha! I knew this would be a tough one. No correct answer yet! Remember, we are looking for the very first reference to the 501st Legion.

Page 26 on the cartoon strip.

I have been going through that book all morning. Then I cheated. I emailed Steve S. and he agrees with my answer of the dedication. LOL! Here is Steves email!

Jay—

Well, that’s how I would have answered the question!

I don’t have a wrapped version here, so it’s possible there’s a mention on the marketing sheet that was inside the plastic bag—I just don’t remember—although I wouldn’t consider that part of the book, unless the question is phrased in a particular way.

It’s also possible that the 501st is mentioned on one of the CDs in the front pockets although, again, I have no recollection of that either.

Let me know what their answer is when it’s revealed!

Best,

Steve

Wow, only other thing I can find is the actual cover of the book and the 501st patch

#11 cris on 01.11.08 at 5:35 pm

Is it the front cover with the 501st logo in the lower right side?

#14 jay shimko tk130 on 01.12.08 at 12:24 pm

I disagree, The slip cover is not part of the book.

TK4426 is our winner! The first reference is on the cover, which we do consider part of the book. Thanks to Cris for the image link posted above. Jay, my heart goes out to you! A valiant effort worthy of recognition in the Jedi Archives…well, the 501st archives anyway.
